Danny Day
Danny Day was an athlete in high school who excelled in a variety of sports. He was a standout on the football gridiron and won the state pole vaulting championship. Day was able to apply the disciplines he learned in the sports arena to other aspects of life, including graduating as valedictorian of his high school class and magma cum laude from the Columbus College of Art and Design.

Day's sports background laid the foundation for his art career. His athletic experiences became an endless source of inspiration. Many of the images he has created portray great sports stars and scenes from various realms of the sporting world. Day has received numerous accolades for his lush, highly realistic views of some of the world's greatest golf courses. Not only have many athletes signed Day's lithographs, they have commissioned the pieces themselves. As a result of the high standard of quality he strives to achieve, Day's work is supported by the athletic community. Mickey Mantle is quoted as saying, "This is one of the best paintings I've seen done of me."

Day's full size paintings can take four to six weeks to complete; as a result his originals are scarce. He uses the traditional "master's" technique of oil painting to create detail-oriented works which require a tremendous amount of research and accuracy. Day's style has been described as "unique in the manner which it embodies and surpasses the true spirit of 'realism'".

LeRoy Neiman

The style of this incredibly successful artist is familiar to a remarkably broad spectrum of people - "rich and poor, black and white, urban and rural, educated and illiterate," and young and old alike.

LeRoy Neiman has served as the official artist for five Olympiads. In the Christian Science Monitor, Nick Seitz wrote that Neiman, who has been labeled an American Impressionist, "has the journalistic talent, as well as the artistic ability, to convey the essence of a game or contestant with great impact, from the Kentucky Derby to Wilt Chamberlain, from the America's Cup to Muhammad Ali, from the Super Bowl to Bobby Hull."

Many of Neiman's pieces have appeared in the form of etchings, lithographs, silkscreen prints, sculptures and paintings, in the permanent collections of public and private museums and other institutions worldwide. These institutional acquisitions, along with sales of approximately 150,000 of his silkscreen prints to individuals, attest to the enormous appeal of his work.

Max was catapulted to fame and fortune with his famous "Cosmic 60's" style, with its distinctive line work, bold color combinations and transcendental imagery. Max's visual impact on the 60's has often been compared to the influence the Beatles had with their music.
